Karuna Gangwani (she/her)

Karuna Gangwani is a Sindhi-Indian-American visual designer based in Cary, North Carolina. Outside of her 9-5, she implements her passion for design into both industry and academia by working with organizations like SADEA and BIPOC Design History. Gangwani received a Bachelors in Graphic Design from NC State University in Fall 2021. Gangwani's multi-hyphenated identity drives her work in several ways. She has been a Research Lead for her college's equity initiative, a Design Associate for Third Eye Collective (a South Asian creative career hub), a panelist speaker for North Carolina Asian Americans Together (a local non-profit), an editorial illustrator for The Juggernaut (a South Asian culture magazine), and a Teaching Assistant for BIPOC Design History's third course: Design Histories in Southwest Asia & North Africa. A common thread throughout all of her work is the emphasis on culture, community, and collaboration, which she aspires to continue through her work as a SADEA member.
